Chloe Beddow: ‘On Closer Inspection’

15 February - 21 March, 2026

Chloe Beddow

‘Blind Spot’ artist Chloe Beddow presents a collection of drawings that reveal the process of looking, assembling, and instinctive mark-making underpinning her practice.

At the beginning of each new body of work, Beddow uses photographs as a starting point to assemble diagrammatic studies that combine observed details with imagined forms. These drawings, sometimes annotated with notes on materials and process, function as a way to visualise, filter, and refine her thinking. They allow for new motifs, structures, and textures to emerge while maintaining a continued attachment to the rhythms and rituals of a traditional painting process.

Chloe Beddow is currently exhibiting alongside Leon Scott-Engel in ‘Blind Spot’, a duo exhibition bringing together two practices united by their inquiry into how care is designed, felt, and made visible.
